Integrated Education and Training Working Group on Conflict Prevention and Response
Lisa Schirch and Alliance for Peacebuilding (AfP) President Melanie
Greenberg represented civil society expertise in conflict prevention and
peacebuilding at a U.S. government inter-agency working group. They addressed the need for greater coordination of training and education
opportunities for U.S. government personnel to learn basic and advanced
skills in conflict prevention and response. The working group developed
an extensive set of recommendations that will be managed by an ongoing
group of high-level government leaders.
